Why Come to Our Church?

Whatever your perceptions of a "church" gathering happen to be, we hope that you will feel very welcome with us. When you arrive, you'll be greeted at the door with a smile. All of our hymns, songs and bible readings are projected but there are hymnbooks and Bibles if you prefer.  You can sit where you like - it's up to you.

We are a varied group of people in age and background, but what we do have in common is a life of faith in Jesus Christ. We want to learn more about Jesus together from God's Word, the Bible, and to spread the good news that Jesus came to die on the cross to take away our sins and that He rose again from the dead to show that He had defeated sin and death.

During the service, we may have a talk specifically aimed at the children (although adults seem to enjoy it too) and a Bible message (sermon) that lasts about 30 minutes. In between all this, we typically sing around 4 hymns/songs which will be a mixture of traditional and modern. We hope that you will recognise some or all of them and enjoy singing them with us.

We also try to keep the outside of our Church building (which is Grade 2 listed) and our gardens in good order so that they look inviting. We've also spent quite a bit of time and money redecorating the inside. We believe that looking after the things we have responsibility for also reflects our appreciation of God's provision for us every day.
